Ooooh... This certainly makes me wonder what the book is about. I love the vague city up on the mountaintop, especially. So subtle, and yet probably an extremely important concept to portray. It gives the cloaked man that sense of aloneness... But, that glowing aura around him and the fact that his head is up makes the drawing a lot more uplifting. A man with such a bright countenance in the midst of a dark expanse of stone statues, pursued or stumbled upon by a knight...

Your drawings just ooze talent. Holy cow.

I like it, but i don't want to leave empty comments without some bashing

I always like critiques, so ill leave mine here, if you don't mind.

Just couple of suggestions.
If you put some more fog in front of the statue, at the back, it will read better how far actually is. Maybe put some more stones and stuff, on the ground, with the horse rider, to make it more dark so the eye can focus more on the praying dude. And maybe put some more flags in the distance, like there are more statues behind that hold em. That will bring some more depth in.
Of course i am total nuub, so you don't have to take my word.

And i struggle with the things i just suggested.
