This scene is a bit bare, but that doesn't show any less skill in how it projects something. I like your style of art due to the fact it doesn't matter how much is in it, I still think of random stuff that is a story for a piece. I mean look at this, it's obviously a post apocalyptic time line showing how the world is. Empty, dry, emotionless, and truly missing the main magical component of earth... Life. Or perhaps you are the last person in the area and this is what you are seeing... It makes me sad thinking about it and gives me chills even imagining myself in that position. <3 + fav
Thanks again for the kind words! Yup - struggled a lot with the "something must be in"… Later on I decided to keep it empty. Kind a like the way you think - what brings the idea of pushing the bridge/railway to another level… e.g. the bridge could be destroyed, an additional piece of bridge on the right side…
well - well - seems I have to put my hands on it again.
The colors are a bit to strong I think. Would also like to see a more specific selling point; take that stone for instance, you could scale that up and do something interesting with it. Love the mood in all your work though and that have something to do with the way you work with color. Keep it up! A time-lapse video would be really interesting to see. Cheers.
Hi there Yup - they are. Was struggling a lot with the colors this time and on the end I was toooo lazy to spend more time on it. Maybe I'll chance it soon. I played around with some foreground elements and some "thing" in the sky, but decided to keep it empty. Still have no idea what to add to that image to tell a better story. One idea is to keep it empty and just using the images as a story (e.g. messed up edge and some old paper texture for BG) I WILL Yeah - its already planned, jut have to find the time for it. Cheers
