what are those purple stripes? they're pretty! and even though I adore your work... zulusplitter is kinda right: your pictures look slightly 2D. maybe, if there were more colours (subtly different colours like young-leaf-green and muddy green) in your pictures they would appear to have more dimensions.

Well - those kind a leaves. but just a kind of:) Basically its just for adding some additional colors to break up the greenish tones.
Thats all so sortf of right - but keep in mind that most of my images are more speedpaintings then finalized illustrations. All of them are more to get better and push my skills for composition, color, mood and style.
"The meeting" is one of my more illustrational takes - and it shows way more depth. On top of that - I think I also try to implement taht as a kind of style.
Well - maybe some say, I'll add more details and depth to it :)
Cheers

oh, i'm not complaining. it's just something that i noticed and thought i might as well say it out loud. in reality many "paintings" wouldn't be able to compete with your "sketches". haha

Thanks again for the warm words!!
No worries - its always good to get feedback from different peoples. Thats the reason why I'm improving (or believe so:) )!
And to be honest - everytime you have something in mind - shout it out!!!
Thanks again:)

You know what I think I like so much about your work? Everything is so raw and natural... You always go all-out with the scenery, and the colors are so realistic... It looks to me like he's in a wetland of sorts. I'd like to go exploring in that thick of trees and meet some little animal friends. :la: Or some big animal friends... like a crocodile...

Thanks so much for your kind words (again and again).
It way more fun (to me) to do landscapes/environment, than doing characters. I have the possibility to go more "crazy" with colors
and to keep it rough, while painting chars are the entire focus is on details and such things.
:D There will be a lot of small friends and a BIG as well…
just step into it and enjoy what you'll see:)

Best

You're very welcome! (Again and again. XD)
We've all got our strong suits, I guess! I wish that I were better at setting and scenery... I think I'll always be better at the living, breathing sort of stuff. It's a lot easier to put personality into a person than it is to put personality into a landscape! XD But that's why they stick artists like us together in the work field; good balance. (Although, you're still better at creature design than I am.)

*waltzes into the forest* New animal friends! :dummy:
