I like the overall design, but the helmet seems... Iunno forced onto him. Making him seem like a bionic patrol man with something he puts on his head afterwards. Though you said also you had trouble with it, so I'm pretty much expecting your practice to pay off with the other characters. Other than that he seems great. Very average looking police man for the job. Lowest ranking and possibly the job title of patrol man doesn't require as much. Don't take this as bad though, I hate overly strong looking "good guys" in the form of fantasy or horror. That image creates a perfect balance in my eyes. <3
Hi there Yup - really ha some issues! The idea behind the helmet is just to give a feel (glance) of a Sci-fi-ish touch. Not too much. A simple combination of a "everyday" cop with a hint of futuristic elements. Just enough to fit the mutation of the other chars. But be sure - I'll keep practicing Hehe - you have just to know your route and the rules. Not more No worry - thats what he supposed to be and you got it right Thanks again!!!
I really like the organic and down to earth feel of this series. As a fan, I suppose the helmet seems a bit out of place with the rest of the work I've seen thus far (which is awesome). It's also harder for me to connect with a character when I can't see their eyes/face. I would be interested to see what kind of weaponry this guy is packing. Keep it coming!
Thanks a lot. Yeah - I'm also not quite happy with the helmet. It was supposed to give some sort of SciFi-feeling to the char. Maybe its a bit too much. Guess I have to do some explorations! I know - its really hard to get connected to a char without seeing his or her entire face. Weapon concepts will be one of the next steps.
Hahaha. Of course, I say that and then realize that Master Chief is one of the most popular characters in video games (famously known for never seeing his face). I still feel the same though. I like to make an emotional connection.
